Yuji Itadori, a high school student with superhuman physical ability, swallows a cursed finger of the legendary demon Ryomen Sukuna to save his friends — and survives, becoming Sukuna's host. He is taken in by jujutsu sorcerer Satoru Gojo and enrolled in Tokyo Jujutsu High.

Yuji trains under Gojo alongside classmates Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki. The three first-years are sent on a mission to a juvenile detention center infested with cursed spirits, where they encounter a Cursed Womb: Death Painting.

Inside the detention center's barrier, the students face an unprecedented special-grade cursed spirit. Megumi desperately pushes his Ten Shadows Technique to its limits, and Gojo arrives to reveal the true horror of what they encountered.

The Kyoto Goodwill Event arc begins as Tokyo and Kyoto Jujutsu High students prepare for their inter-school competition. Yuji is secretly declared dead by Gojo to buy time, and the Kyoto principal orders the students to assassinate Itadori.

During the Goodwill Event, a coordinated attack by cursed spirits and humans orchestrated by Mahito and Geto interrupts the competition. The students fight for their lives across the forest grounds.

The attack on the Goodwill Event intensifies. Aoi Todo arrives as an unexpected ally and pushes Yuji to awaken Black Flash. Hanami, a special-grade cursed spirit, proves nearly unstoppable.

Gojo arrives to end the attack in overwhelming fashion. Afterward, the group pursues Geto's organization. Yuji and Todo's bond is cemented in battle, and Yuji begins mastering his cursed energy.

Mahito confronts Yuji directly for the first time in a brutal battle of ideals and fists. Meanwhile, the Yasohachi Bridge investigation leads Nanami and Yuji to uncover Mahito's Idle Transfiguration technique and its devastating effect on human souls.

Yuji and Nanami pursue Mahito through the sewers in an intense fight that pushes both sorcerers to their limits. Mahito's domain expansion is revealed, and Yuji's determination to destroy him only grows stronger.

The Origin of Obedience arc begins as the Death Painting brothers — Choso, Eso, and Kechizu — are unleashed. Yuji and Nobara face two of the brothers in a deadly battle involving a curse that liquefies the blood of its targets.

Nobara and Yuji defeat their Death Painting opponents at tremendous cost. Elsewhere, Megumi investigates the origins of the Death Paintings and the sinister Shibuya Incident begins to take shape behind the scenes.

The Shibuya Incident approaches as Mahito's group executes the next phase of Pseudo-Geto's plan. A flashback arc begins, showing the past of Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto during their student days — and how their worldviews diverged.

The Hidden Inventory arc continues with young Gojo and Geto tasked with escorting Star Plasma Vessel Riko Amanai. Two assassin clans pursue them relentlessly, forcing the young sorcerers to confront the brutal nature of the jujutsu world.

The tragic conclusion of the Hidden Inventory arc is reached. Toji Fushiguro — Megumi's father, a man with no cursed energy — pushes Gojo to his absolute limit and kills Riko, shattering Geto's faith in humanity and jujutsu society.

Gojo, near death, awakens the Reverse Cursed Technique and unlocks the limitless power of Infinity, becoming the strongest. Years later, Geto's final break from the jujutsu world — and his massacre of a village — is shown in full.

Geto is executed for his crimes, and a mysterious figure takes his body. The Shibuya Incident begins as Pseudo-Geto's plan activates: curtains are drawn across Shibuya, trapping tens of thousands of civilians with cursed spirits.

The full scale of the Shibuya Incident is revealed. Jujutsu sorcerers are deployed across multiple locations. Yuji fights through waves of transfigured humans while searching for a way to unseal Gojo, who has been imprisoned in the Prison Realm.

Satoru Gojo is sealed into the Prison Realm by Pseudo-Geto and the curse manipulators. The loss of the world's strongest sorcerer sends shockwaves through all of jujutsu society. Yuji pushes deeper into Shibuya in desperation.

The Shibuya massacre intensifies. Yuji encounters Choso, who reveals a shocking familial connection. Mahito hunts Yuji through the chaos while transfigured humans fill the streets. The cost of the night in lives and sanity climbs higher.

Sukuna is unleashed when Yuji is forced to swallow a second finger. In a matter of minutes, Sukuna carves a swathe of destruction through Shibuya — killing thousands, destroying a massive area, and casually defeating Mahoraga.

The aftermath of Sukuna's rampage haunts Yuji. Nobara is critically wounded by Mahito's Idle Transfiguration in a devastating blow. Yuji corners Mahito and, aided by Choso, destroys him — but Pseudo-Geto absorbs Mahito before he fully dies.

The Shibuya Incident concludes with catastrophic losses. Yuji is declared a criminal by the higher-ups. Nanami is killed by Mahito during the chaos. Survivors regroup as the jujutsu world fractures and the Culling Game is announced.

The aftermath of Shibuya. Yuta Okkotsu returns from overseas. Yuji is sentenced to death again, and Yuta is ordered to carry out the execution — but Yuta reveals he has his own intentions for Yuji.

The Culling Game is formally announced by Kenjaku (Pseudo-Geto). Colonies are established across Japan as barriers seal off regions. Yuji, Megumi, and their allies work to free Tsumiki Fushiguro, who has been dragged into the game.

Yuji and Megumi enter a Culling Game colony in Tokyo. They encounter powerful ancient sorcerers who have been awakened after centuries of sleep, each with fully developed cursed techniques ready to kill.

The Culling Game intensifies across multiple colonies. Hakari Kinji's domain expansion — an insane pachinko-based gamble that grants infinite cursed energy on a jackpot — is revealed in a battle against Kashimo.

Megumi attempts to negotiate with ancient sorcerer players to add rules to the Culling Game and free Tsumiki. The rules change, but at a terrible cost — and Megumi's vulnerability to manipulation is exploited by Sukuna.

Sukuna takes full control of Megumi's body by consuming all of his fingers. The King of Curses, now with a permanent vessel, turns on the jujutsu sorcerers. Yuji is left devastated by the loss of his closest friend.

Sukuna, in Megumi's body, begins his assault on the jujutsu world. Gojo is finally unsealed and confronts Sukuna in an earth-shattering clash between the two strongest beings — the fight the entire series has been building toward.

Gojo and Sukuna's battle reaches its cataclysmic peak. The fate of the strongest sorcerer is decided, and the jujutsu world is thrown into its darkest hour. The final battle for humanity's survival looms on the horizon.
