Denji joins Public Safety Division 4 under the ruthless devil hunter Makima, who promises him a normal life in exchange for his obedience. He meets his hard-drinking partner Power and the stoic Aki Hayakawa, and gets his first taste of what it means to have dreams — food, a roof, and something to fight for.
